About Us
In the year 2000, a group of regional and area artists founded Columbus, Georgia’s FIRST and ONLY Artist-Owned Art Cooperative. It was located in Columbus’ Historic District in an antebellum home, called the Joseph House, hence the name was The Joseph House Art Gallery.
In 2014, the Joseph House was sold and the Gallery re-located to #9 Tenth Street in the Uptown area of Columbus and re-named GALLERY ON TENTH.
The Gallery has been in business for 21 years and has been designated “Columbus’ Favorite Gallery” for 14 years. The Gallery is staffed and owned by its membership of local and regional artists.
Our Mission
The Mission of the GALLERY ON TENTH Cooperative is to encourage interest and excellence in the visual arts by exhibiting and selling local and regional art created by the GALLERY’S exhibiting artists. The G.O.T. will strive to bring to the community a true sense of community, diversity, creativity and educational skills.
